Responsibilities

The Regional Maintenance Director assists the National Maintenance Director with the implementation and execution of Maintenance and Housekeeping (if applicable) programs and initiatives in assigned communities including redevelopment projects. This individual also supports Maintenance and Housekeeping (if applicable) and functions as a member of the Maintenance team.

 

  • Train Maintenance and Housekeeping (if applicable) team at assigned communities.
  • Assist with diagnosing and solving larger maintenance expense repairs.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and housekeeping (if applicable) services are being performed according to standards at assigned communities.
  • Ensure all life safety systems are maintained and operational.
  • Allocate hours (if applicable) while assuming vacant Community Maintenance Leader role; train and assist communities without a Maintenance Leader.
  • Responsible for apartment rent readiness.
  • Conduct annual capital plan reviews of assigned communities and document in capital plan file.
  • Execute assigned capital projects timely and within budget.
  • Work with community teams to support and prepare for QE Audits.
  • Assist in emergency and crisis response either in person or through directing and communicating with community leads.
  • Support communities in recruiting efforts by reviewing iCIMS and assist with interviewing candidates as needed.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Facility Management or related field.
  • Seven (7) or more years of construction or facility management field experience.
  • Track record of training and developing staff .
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The ability to learn and work within new systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use metrics to develop and drive business initiatives.
  • Required travel on behalf of the Company up to 75% of the time.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license.
  • Position requires driving responsibilities (may use Company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle).
  • Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Company motor vehicle policy standards and Travel Policy.
