Responsibilities

The Trainer, Learning & Development is responsible for facilitating instructor-led (in-person and virtual) training related to core business practices and leadership concepts. As a member of the Learning and Development (L&D) team, this individual is a key contributor to the team’s strategy, helping to drive business objectives through performance-based training and effective new hire onboarding programs. This individual also collaborates with the team in course creation using a blended learning approach, ensuring content accurately represents Company policies and business objectives. This individual is expected to represent the Atria culture and ensure participants feel supported throughout their learning experience.

 

  • Facilitate interactive instructor-led training sessions using proven classroom management techniques. Create a positive learning environment.
  • Set clear expectations for participants, hold them accountable, and support them throughout their learning experience.
  • Monitor program participants’ progress and provide one-on-one coaching to class participants as needed.
  • Collaborate with the L&D team and actively contribute in course creation and curriculum revision processes to ensure compliance with Atria policies, business objectives, state and federal regulations and other identified needs. Leverage expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design and learning technologies to ensure learning objectives are achieved.
  • Work with department and functional leadership to keep programs up to date and create new content as needed. Identify performance needs and learning gaps to determine curriculum development priorities and delivery solutions.
  • Build and maintain an alliance with functional leaders and provide regular training updates and report on new hire classroom performance.
  • Interpret and analyze all program evaluation results. Identify and recommend program changes to improve learner success.
  • Work closely with training logistics team, ensuring training communications are clear and compliance expectations are met.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from four (4) year college or university in adult education, human resources, organizational development or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Exceptional public speaking skills, demonstrating ability to be inclusive, engaging and high-energy. Prefer a minimum of 2 years of course facilitation experience.
  • Adept in using technology and facilitation techniques to engage learners through virtual settings.
  • Knowledge of learner-centric instructional design and learning technologies, as well as adult learning principles.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Flexible and responsive to changing priorities.
  • Ability to create a remote office environment conducive to live training delivery. This includes quality internet connection that can support video sharing and computer audio and a professional backdrop which limits visual and audio disruptions for learners.
