Responsibilities

The Capital Analyst is responsible for both short and long-term financial performance and forecasting for a multi-million dollar portfolio of capital projects. This individual works closely with Construction, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Accounting teams to develop and execute projects. Additionally, this individual is responsible for company-wide capital reporting simplification and process improvement.

 

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and execution of financial plans and reporting requirements for assigned capital projects that generally are large and complex in nature.
  • Complete strategic forecasting and budgeting for the assigned capital project portfolios.
  • Lead the development and execution of Company-wide capital reporting simplification and process improvement, including automating excel-based reports.
  • Partner with senior leadership in Capital Planning, Redevelopment, Maintenance Operations, and other applicable departments to execute strategic capital projects.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, improve forecasting, and drive business decisions.
  • Prepare the monthly financial reporting package, including actual to budget and forecast comparisons.
  • Prepare the annual capital budgets for assigned capital project portfolios.
  • Complete ad hoc analysis as needed.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field is required. Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • One (1) to four (4) years of related experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including the expert use of the full Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Comfortable with ad hoc analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a wide variety of audiences and individuals at different levels.
  • Strong detail orientation, multi-tasking, strategic thinking, and prioritization skills.
